We are three nights before Slam-A-Thon, which will be the biggest night in Classic Wrestling’s short history. The first-ever Real Worlds Champion, Tag Team Champions, and Premier American Champion will be crowned. Tonight, the last of the three is the star.
The camera pans around the Classic Arena, decorated properly for the scene of Sunday’s event. As it reaches the ring, Carlos Ruiz is running his left hand along the teal and grey apron. He looks up at the camera and smiles.
“Buenos noches, amigos! Carlos is happy very much to see you tonight. This is special night for Carlos. I get to talk about the Slam-A-Thon show! Si! Carlos get to fight at first ever pay-per-view in the Classic Wrestling history! And not only does Carlos get to fight on the show, I get chance at Campeonado Premier American! That is very much to say, but Carlos can get used to saying it if I win the fight! Bueno. I am excited very much.”
Carlos smiles and nods.
“But Carlos know that this will not be easy fight to win. Carlos is going against not just one person, but five other peoples! Ay Dios Mio! But that is okay! Carlos know that he can win the fight. This is not regular pin to win match, either. I have to throw the other peoples over the top rope and to the floor to win! It will not be easy. Señor Shujin is almost 500 pound! Señor Vito is 260 pound. Señor Frago is 245 pound. Señor Freddy is 282 pound. Carlos is small very much to all of them and it will be difficult to put them over the top rope. Carlos hope that many of us will get together and help to get Señor Shujin out of the ring. I do not think it would be easy to get him out alone!”
Carlos puts a left index finger up into the air.
“BUT Carlos is still okay with this fight and still confident. Because two week ago, Señor Vito y Carlos defeat Señor Shujin y Señor Randall. Señor Vito y Carlos get along very well in that fight. We even talk about being partner long term. But on Sunday at the Slam-A-Thon, we will not be partners. We have to fight against each other. And that is fine with Carlos. If Carlos have to eliminate my new friend, then I will do it. But then we can go to the back and share the fine Spanish wine! Bueno!”
Carlos raises his right hand up for the first time, revealing that he is carrying a glass of wine. He toasts the camera and takes a sip.
“Muy bueno! So how about Carlos talk about the two peoples that he has not been in right with? Señor Freddy was in tournament for Campeonado Real World! He make it to second round before losing to Señor Starling. This is nothing to be ashamed of, Señor Freddy. Señor Starling is fighting for Campeonado Real World on Sunday! He is one of few people in the Classic Wrestling who is undefeated with three wins. Carlos, of course, is also one!”
Carlos flashes a smile and a wink at the camera.
“One thing Carlos like about you, Señor Freddy, is that you try to keep kids from doing the drugs! You are very good man for that! You know who else is very good man? Señor Fargo! He help all of the childrens at Boys and Girls Club! It is nice very much of him. And he is very funny. Carlos hear him tell story about a cowboy who is working out with cows! Very funny to Carlos! But poor Señor Fargo. He has been finding hard times in the ring since he get here. He lose to Señor Bruder y Señor Lovett. He only win one fight. But that is okay, Señor Fargo! Keep your head up, as they say! Because you are talented very much and you can turn it around.”
Carlos takes another sip of his wine and then puts his hand in the air, as to say “hang on.”
“BUT. This Sunday at the Slam-A-Thon, Carlos know that I cannot allow you to turn it around with me in the fight. This fight is mine for the taking. Carlos Ruiz is going to walk away from the Slam-A-Thon as new Campeon de Premier American! I see you all here in the ring on Sunday! VIVA LA LUCHA!”
Carlos smiles and the camera dims to black.
