The Classic Arena, now beginning to age like a fine Spanish wine, is settling in nicely to the area. Three shows have been packed out and the entire city has become abuzz due to its success. The inside of the Arena is beginning to build some serious character and demeanor for itself.
The depths of Classic Arena contains a permanent fixture of a vinyl Classic Wrestling backdrop and a self-operated camera. Many wrestlers have now cut promos in front of this backdrop, telling the entire world about who they are and what they’ll do. Today, Carlos Ruiz, everyone’s favorite Spanish Luchador, decides that it is his turn to step into the shot. He smirks as the Arena lights shine off of his Maui Jim sunglasses. He stands there in a bright, lime-green, skin-tight t-shirt and a cheek-huggin’ pair of blue jeans, all finished by a pair of black alligator-skinned shoes. He smiles at the camera as he reaches over and presses a button to begin recording.
“Buenos dias, amigos! It is me, Carlos Ruiz! Everyone favorite Spanish Luchador!”
Carlos smiles brightly and the light nearly gleams off of his teeth.
“I am so happy to see you today. Carlos is always happy to see you! Today, Carlos want to talk to you all about my next fight in the Classic Wrestling! I will be getting into the ring with Señor Ricardo! Bueno! Señor Ricardo have difficult time very much with Señor Yama when they fight at episode numero uno! It was sad to see that he have to lose the match. But, from what Carlos notice, Señor Ricardo is not very nice person. He try to pay for Señor Yama to lose the fight instead of actually getting into ring with him. So I not that hurt to see it! However, Carlos never wish somebody to be sad or to hurt regardless of if person is good or bad.”
Carlos shrugs his shoulders.
“It is going to make him frustrated very much when he realize that the person he fight with this week will not be purchased by money either! This week at the Classic Wrestling he will have to fight with someone who take down el Autobús! Si. Carlos Ruiz defeat the Decker Double and make for himself undefeated record!”
Carlos shakes his fists in the air in pride with a large smile on his face.
“Señor Ricardo, Carlos know that one match does not define a person. Especially a match that I win because of the counting out. But it does not matter if I win or lose first fight or if you win or lose first fight. It is only one of the many fights that each of us will have in the Classic Wrestling! But Carlos also know that if somebody is to win two fight then they start winning streak and have chance to turn heads in the Classic Wrestling and to make their name known by all of the peoples. You have opportunity, Señor Ricardo, to show all of the Classic Wrestling that you losing to Señor Yama does not create who you say you are as wrestler and does not put you into losing streak. But that also mean that Carlos have opportunity to prove that defeating el Autobús is not my limit. Si. Carlos believe that I am much more of a wrestler than any of the peoples in Classic Wrestling has seen of me. And this weekend, I am going to show everybody why Carlos Ruiz is numero uno in the Luchador wrestling in all of España! VIVA LA LUCHA!”
Carlos lowers his Maui Jim sunglasses, winks at the camera, and ends the recording of the camera. He walks away from the backdrop as we focus out.
