As Kevin Clady points at both competitors for this match, he gives them a moment before sounding the bell.
DING DING DING!
The bell sounds and this one is underway! Desert Eagle and Alex Bruder size each other up a bit before going in for the collar and elbow tie-up. The taller Bruder snatches up the heavier Eagle with a standing headlock. Eagle shoves the former Real World’s Champion off into the ropes. On the rebound Bruder tries to knock Eagle down but both men meet each other in the ring with a smack that echoes out from dual shoulder blocks. Neither man budges.
Moss: Whoa. Both men showing no give to the other. This could get interesting in a hurry.
Howley: Agreed. However, Bruder is living up to his name from the look he just gave Eagle from not being able to put him on his back.
Both competitors hit the ropes. On the rebound, Eagle stretches an arm out for a clothesline but Bruder ducks it and continues toward the opposite ropes. Eagle leaps with a crossbody on the return but Bruder catches the newcomer and turns it into a powerslam!
Moss: What a powerslam!
Howley: That’s all she wrote.
Bruder makes the cover!
Desert Eagle just kicks out at Two and a half!
Signaling to the crowd for something, Bruder hunches down behind Eagle.
Moss: I think we all know what’s coming now!
Howley: Cobra Clutch!
Desert Eagle is up, and just as Bruder begins to hook in the cobra clutch, Desert Eagle drops to a knee and tosses Bruder forward with the counter. Bruder rolls back to his feet and uses his momentum to gain some extra spring from the ropes on the return trip. Eagle goes for a clothesline, thinking he has Bruder dead to rights, but Bruder slinks behind him and locks in the cobra clutch!
Moss: There it is!
Howley: Only a matter of time now.
Bruder wrenches in the cobra clutch, nearly squeezing Desert Eagle’s eyeballs out of their sockets. After fighting it for a moment, Eagle relents by submitting.
DING DING DING!
Harold Robbins: The winner of this match by submission… “All Business”… ALEX…BRUDER!
Moss: We’ll there you have it, folks. Relatively quick win for Alex Bruder this week as he disposes of the previously impressive newcomer, Desert Eagle.
Howley: No shame in losing to the former Real World’s Champion, though. Dude’s the only person in all of Classic who’s beaten the CURRENT Real World’s Champion. Rarefied air, there!
Moss: Very true! I’m sure he’ll bounce back from this one in no time flat.
As Alex Bruder rips his arm away from Kevin Clady, the camera fades to our next set of commercials.
