Official Rules
Classic Wrestling is a micro efed built for focused storytelling, clean structure, and a throwback vibe where kayfabe still lives. This is a place for creative handlers who want to compete without chaos, collaborate without drama, and bring characters to life in a retro-inspired but tightly run universe.
Read the rules. Respect the craft. And let’s keep it Classic.
Promo & Roleplay Guidelines
- Each match allows one promo per handler, capped at 750 words.
- Title matches raise the limit to 1,000 words.
- This is a hard cap. Even one word over = disqualification.
- Tag team matches are one promo per team, not per member.
- Promos must remain strictly in character. No OOC commentary or fourth-wall breaks.
- Kayfabe is sacred. Wrestlers exist only as personas—no shoots, no meta.
- Promos are judged on entertainment, trash talk, consistency, and storytelling.
Character Rules
- Original characters only. No real wrestlers, clones, or re-skinned legends. (Homages allowed if distinct.)
- No pic bases. Visuals are created in-house using AI to match the fed’s style.
- Up to 3 active characters per handler (singles or teams), subject to participation.
- Characters must match Classic’s tone: believable, grounded, and era-appropriate.
- Intergender matches allowed but must be portrayed with realism.
Match Writing & Results
- All matches are AI-assisted and reviewed by staff for tone and quality.
- Handlers do not write matches—this ensures timeliness and avoids burnout.
- Results are posted biweekly on the site and linked in Discord.
Judging & Feedback
- Staff judges all matches by reading both promos and choosing the stronger overall.
- No point system—judging is based on feel, delivery, and character work.
- Feedback is offered when time allows but is not guaranteed.
Scheduling & Participation
- Classic Wrestling runs biweekly shows (every two weeks).
- Deadlines are hard. No late promos, no extensions.
- You may edit a promo within 15 minutes after posting—before the deadline.
- First no-show: You lose and staff checks in. Second: you’re jobbed and removed.
- Need time off? Just communicate with staff. We’re flexible when informed.
Championship Policy
- Title shots are earned through performance, reliability, and storytelling.
- No handler may hold more than one title at a time.
- Double champs must vacate one belt.
- No automatic rematch clauses. Lose a title? Earn your way back.
Content Standards
- Content should reflect a cable TV level of realism and tone.
- No excessive blood, mutilation, death, or ultraviolence.
- Plagiarism = immediate dismissal. Be original.
- Do not use other characters without handler permission.
- All content must fit Classic’s tone: old-school, believable, character-driven.
Conduct & Community
- We operate via website and Discord only—no forums.
- Respect others. No bullying, harassment, or trolling.
- Hate speech (racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.) results in a ban—IC or OOC.
- No personal drama, politics, or off-topic chaos in promos or chat.
- This is a writing game. Keep it fun, competitive, and respectful.
Final Say
- If something’s unclear—ask.
- Staff has the final word on booking, judging, and rule interpretation.
- We’re not here to power trip. We're here to keep things consistent and fair.
